Police identify 2 people killed when SUV hits deer, rolls over on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford

Two people were killed early Friday in a rollover crash on Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, Massachusetts.State police said the crash involving a deer happened just before 5 a.m. on the northbound side of the highway near the Chelmsford rest stop.The SUV struck a deer on the highway, veered into the median, went airborne, and struck several trees. When troopers arrived at the scene, they discovered a 2016 Nissan Rogue operated by Rudolph Vah, 53, of Acton, in trees located in the median. Police said Vah, and his female passenger Jartu Flamma, also of Acton, were pronounced dead at the scene. The left lanes of Interstate 495 northbound and southbound were closed until approximately 10 a.m. Police said the crash was under investigation by members of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
