Al Roker leaves the hospital after missing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

Al Roker is “so very grateful” to be home for Thanksgiving with his family.

The “Today” meteorologist shared a health update with fans via social media Thursday after missing the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years.

A cheerful Roker, 68, posted a video of himself in comfortable attire walking the halls of a hospital.

“Okay, this is my version of the Thanksgiving Day Parade,” he said. “Getting ready to leave the hospital. Time to blow this taco stand. Woohoo!”

The weather anchor later informed fans that he made it home just “in time” to catch some of the parade commentary from “Today” colleagues Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb.

“So much #grateful to be home for #thanksgiving #dinner with #family,” he wrote in another post shared via Instagram.

Barbara Ann Corcoran also chimed in, writing, “Sending you all my love! Happy Thanksgiving ❤️❤️❤️.”

As Page Six previously reported, Roker skipped the annual televised parade in New York City this year due to ongoing health issues, with meteorologist Dylan Dreyer stepping in for him.

“So many of you have thoughtfully asked where I’ve been,” Roker wrote in a Nov. 18 Instagram post amid growing concern over his absence from the “Today” show.

“Last week I was admitted to hospital with a blood clot in my leg, which sent some blood clots down into my lungs. After some medical smack-a-mole, I am lucky enough to receive fantastic medical care and on the road to recovery.”

Roker ended his post by thanking fans for “all the well wishes” and prayers.

“Hope to see you soon,” he added. “Have a great weekend everyone.”
