Law enforcement is investigating a Black Friday shooting inside the Walmart in Lumberton

LUMBERTON, NC – Law enforcement officers are responding to a Friday shooting inside a Walmart Supercenter, according to Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins.

It’s unclear how many people were shot — if any — inside the store at 5070 Fayetteville Road.

From 14 ET Friday, the stage is set and the shop is closed. A sign outside the store said it would reopen on Saturday.

The Walmart Supercenter at 5070 Fayetteville Road is expected to reopen at 06.00 Saturday.

Lumberton Police, Robeson County Deputies and North Carolina State Troopers responded to the scene.

“We work closely with local law enforcement and they will have to answer any questions you may have,” Walmart senior manager Ashley Nolan wrote in an email to WRAL News.
