Singer and actress Lea Michele stood out on Thanksgiving Day last Thursday.

The 36-year-old Glee vet wore a bright red costume and black feathered hat from her Funny Girl Broadway show as she sang the hit tune Don’t Rain On My Parade.

Along with the iconic balloons, the parade will also feature 28 floats, 12 marching bands, 700 clowns and several music stars set to perform on Thanksgiving Day.

She was seen practicing in October.

The star spoke to Good Morning America in NYC about stepping into some very big shoes before singing a song from the show.

Lea shared: ‘Everybody knows my love for Barbra Streisand, I’ve expressed that from Glee, from growing up and she made Funny Girl what it is and we would love for her to come on the show.

“It would be incredible if she came,” Lea noted.

As for being back on Broadway, she said it makes her happy.

“It’s such a thrill to be a part of the Broadway community, to come home for me, I love it so much,” she said.

‘I started acting when I was eight years old in Les Miserables and now many years later to be back on Broadway in my fifth show, playing Fanny Brice in Funny Girl was a dream come true.’

As for juggling the show and being mum to her two-year-old son Ever, she says she’s just doing her best.

‘I’m figuring it out, I have the best husband, he’s wonderful, it helps. But it is a challenge. My son knows I sing and I go to work,” she said.

She also told her son that she loves him and will see him later.

The star was also in costume to perform the song Don’t Rain on My Parade with the Funny Girl cast.
